Projektet udvikler en pædiatrisk sundhedsklinik (en klinik for børn) i Østafrika. Målet er at skabe en løsning, der er bæredygtig, kan tilpasses, understøtter helbredelse og er tæt forankret i lokale forhold. Konceptet samler valg af materialer, drift og opførelse samt et godt indeklima og helende arkitektoniske greb. Klinikken forener teknologi og ressourcer fra I-lande med materialer og ressourcer fra lokalsamfundet. Byggeriet planlægges i etaper, så klinikken ansvarligt kan vokse fra en mindre enhed til en større, permanent sundhedsklinik. Indeklimaet opretholdes udelukkende med naturlige og passive principper, dvs. uden store mekaniske anlæg og ved at udnytte stedets naturlige forhold som lys, skygge og luftskifte for at skabe komfort. The project develops a pediatric health clinic (a clinic for children) in East Africa. The aim is a solution that is sustainable, adaptable, supports healing, and is firmly rooted in the local context. The concept brings together choices about materials, operation and construction, indoor climate, and healing architectural strategies. The clinic combines technology and resources from developed countries with materials and resources from the local community. Construction is planned in phases so the clinic can responsibly grow from a small facility into a larger, permanent health clinic. The indoor climate is maintained entirely with natural, passive principles—avoiding large mechanical systems and using the site's natural conditions, such as daylight, shade, and airflow, to create comfort.
