Abstract
The project concerns the transformation of three industrial buildings, located at Østre Havn in Aalborg. The old silo buildings have been converted to fulfil the modern demands in terms of aesthetic and functions. The focus is upon the balance and hierarchy between new and old, where the remembrance of the industrial era is maintained however with new elements indicating the transformation of the complex. Principles of sustainability have been implemented in the design to optimise the energy consumption.
