Abstract

Dette projekt udvikler en prototype, der omsætter IFC‑filer (Industry Foundation Classes) over bygninger til brugbare indendørsdata og viser, hvordan de kan bruges i en indendørs navigationsapp. Arbejdet fortsætter og udbygger indsatsen fra forrige semester. I backend’en blev fejl i udtræksprocessen rettet, mappingproceduren forbedret for at give bedre resultater, en rumlig database taget i brug til stedbaserede data, og der blev tilføjet nyttige funktioner i backend‑grænsefladen. Vi forfinede og implementerede også en opdelingsalgoritme for partitioner for at undgå spildplads i det R‑træ, der bruges af det spatiale indeks. I frontend’en byggede vi en app med indendørs navigationsfunktioner, herunder ruteplanlægning. Den introducerer også en ny metode til at beregne afstande inden for samme partition (delområde), som vi evaluerede gennem eksperimentelle tests.

This project develops a prototype that turns IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) building files into usable indoor data and shows how it can power an indoor navigation app. It continues and extends work from the previous semester. On the back end, we corrected errors in the data extraction process, improved the mapping procedure to deliver better results, used a spatial database for location‑based data, and added useful features to the back‑end interface. We also refined and implemented a partition decomposition algorithm to avoid dead space in the R‑tree used by the spatial index. On the front end, we built an app with indoor navigation features, including route calculation. It also introduces a new method for computing distances within the same partition (area), which we evaluated through experimental tests.
