Abstract
This thesis investigates how to simplify the procedures involved in analog sensing and actuation of physical objects in educational contexts. Framed by entrepreneurship education and prototyping, an Arduino-like hardware platform and a companion software user interface were developed. The study followed three steps: (1) qualitative interviews with stakeholders to identify needs and market perspectives, (2) building and user testing of the prototype with both experienced and novice users, including measuring task completion times and collecting questionnaire responses, and (3) outlining improvements to both hardware and software based on the feedback. Early results suggest that the proposed tools were comparatively easy for participants to use, while further work is needed to simplify the processes even more. The thesis offers design considerations and recommendations aimed at lowering barriers for students and teachers when creating interactive prototypes.
Dette projekt undersøger, hvordan procedurerne omkring analog sensing og aktuation af fysiske objekter kan forenkles i undervisningssammenhænge. Med udgangspunkt i entreprenørskabsundervisning og prototyping udvikledes en Arduino-lignende hardwareplatform og en ledsagende softwarebrugerflade. Studiet fulgte tre trin: (1) kvalitative interviews med aktører på området for at afdække behov og markedsperspektiver, (2) konstruktion og brugertest af prototypen med både erfarne og uerfarne brugere, hvor opgaveløsningstid blev målt og et spørgeskema udfyldt, og (3) udarbejdelse af forbedringsforslag til både hardware og software baseret på feedback. De første resultater indikerer, at den foreslåede løsning var relativt let at anvende for deltagerne, men at yderligere arbejde er nødvendigt for at gøre processerne endnu enklere.
