Abstract
Denne rapport er anden del af kandidatprojektet "Rural Connections, New Architecture for Farming and Consumer Experience".
This report is the second part of the master’s thesis project "Rural Connections, New Architecture for Farming and Consumer Experience." It presents a concrete design for an urban cattle farm on the former golf course in Aalborg. The goal is to rethink farm buildings so they work in a city and create meaningful spatial experiences for farmers, visitors, and the animals. The design grows from a close study of the site—its landscape, surroundings, and scale—so the typically large mass of a cattle farm can be broken into smaller, more city-friendly parts. The needs of the cattle guide all decisions, leading to an open structure that brings in as much fresh air and daylight as possible. The proposal is grounded in structural principles and studies that test how the building can remain open while staying structurally sound.
