Abstract
The aim of this project is to design a new multi-purpose house in Balling, Denmark. The building will contain different departments dealing with health; Centre for Activity and Culture, a Sport department, Fitness/wellness and a Healthcare centre. The concept of the project is creating a building which makes room for different activities and displays life. This is done by dividing the building into smaller volumes connected by at glass circle in this way creating a city in a small scale. The surrounding glass circle makes a new type of indoor/outdoor space to use for activities and social interaction. It also functions as a buffer zone for the heated volumes increasing energy efficiency and making room for solar cells on the roof.
