Abstract
OXMES (Open Extensible Manufacturing Execution System) er resultatet af et kandidatspeciale i Embedded Software Systems. Projektet er delt i to: Først blev et problem inden for Industry 4.0 undersøgt, og et systemdesign blev foreslået. Denne rapport dækker anden del, hvor vi implementerer et Manufacturing Execution System (MES)—software, der koordinerer og overvåger produktionen på fabriksgulvet—til brug sammen med et modulært produktionsanlæg, hvor enheder kan tilføjes eller udskiftes efter behov. Implementeringen bygger på en mikrotjenestearkitektur, dvs. en samling små, uafhængige tjenester, der samarbejder. ASP.NET Core er anvendt som rammeværk til at skabe disse tjenester. OXMES (Open Extensible Manufacturing Execution System) is the outcome of a master’s thesis in Embedded Software Systems. The project has two parts: the first investigated an Industry 4.0 problem and proposed a system design; this report covers the second part, implementing a Manufacturing Execution System (MES)—software that coordinates and monitors production on the factory floor—to work with a modular manufacturing setup where units can be added or replaced as needed. The implementation uses a microservices architecture, meaning a set of small, independent services that work together. ASP.NET Core was used as the framework to build these services. Three core MES services are implemented and described in detail. Throughout, the solution is compared with the current MES used at the Department of Materials and Production. Finally, the work is evaluated with a focus on usability and future development. The conclusion outlines known issues, suggested features, and potential improvements.
