Abstract
This project explores how an old factory building can be converted into housing. The transformation reflects Aalborg’s move beyond its industrial image while carrying forward inherited values from the past. The design emphasizes flexibility so the building can adapt to future needs and changes. Through this process, the project presents the designer’s own understanding of sustainability, focusing on long-term flexibility and continuity with the city’s heritage.
