Abstract
This project addresses an imbalance in an educational multiplayer game used at Neurocenter Østerskoven, where people with cognitive and physical disabilities compete against relatives without comparable challenges. The research question is whether an AI-driven shared/hybrid control can both assist players who need support and challenge stronger opponents to equalize difficulty and improve engagement for all participants. The system features two Turtlebot-2 robots controlled by joysticks and three target poles; a Helper algorithm was designed to guide the supported player toward goals, and a Hinder algorithm to subtly constrain the opponent’s control. The implementation is described using ROS and Python, with an initial evaluation planned/conducted.
