Abstract
The project focuses on revitalizing and adapting a historic mining complex in Rybnik, Poland, while honoring its heritage. It balances old and new by carefully considering scale, the surrounding context, aesthetics, and sustainability. The work includes thorough documentation of the site (“registration”) and the development of an overall urban concept for the area. Selected parts of the proposed redevelopment—such as a mine museum, a culture and conference center, and office buildings—are presented in greater detail and examined through structural analysis.
