Abstract
Dette projekt handler om at designe og udvikle et boligfællesskab i Nuuk, Grønlands hovedstad. Landskab, klima og solforhold bruges aktivt som drivkræfter for at opnå en miljømæssigt og socialt bæredygtig løsning. Fordi vi tilbringer meget af vores tid i hjemmet, lægger projektet vægt på kvaliteten af det fysiske miljø: et godt indeklima og rige dagslysforhold, som har betydning for hverdag og trivsel. Målet er at skabe boliger til grønlændere, der giver mulighed for at videreføre og udvikle kulturel identitet og livsform. Designet anerkender, at mange i Grønland fisker og jager og derfor har mange redskaber og tøj til at klare klimaet. Disse behov indarbejdes i funktionelle løsninger og en miljøeffektiv bygningsskal (bygningens ydre og opbygning), så opbevaring, adgang og daglig brug fungerer i praksis.
This project designs and develops a housing community in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. It treats the landscape, climate and solar conditions as key inputs to achieve an environmentally and socially sustainable result. Because we spend much of our time at home, the design emphasizes the quality of the physical environment - healthy indoor conditions and generous daylight - that shape everyday life and well-being. The goal is to create homes for Greenlandic people that support and evolve cultural identity and lifestyle. The design recognizes that many residents fish and hunt and rely on substantial tools and clothing to handle the climate. These needs are integrated into functional solutions and an environmentally efficient building envelope (the outer shell and organization of the buildings), so that storage, access and daily use work in practice.
