Abstract
Green zone is about making benefit of the healing potential in architecture. Architecture is not seen as something that can be entirely healing, but the conditions for physical comfort has a positive effect to the human body and mind. The project takes its basis in a current debate; the recreational conditions for Danish veterans. The result is a rehabilitation centre for the veterans, who have become physical injured or mentally traumatised during war. The design is expressive and developed through an iterative process of architectural, environmental and healing investigations, with a positive effect to the energy performance of the building.
