Abstract
This project concerns the development of a new skylight window with integrated fire ventilation devised in collaboration with Domex Skylights A/S. The development of the new skylight takes its underlying basis in problem areas defined by the company management, the production personnel and mounting crews as well as issues experienced by the design team through analysis and observations. Summary Through the development of the skylight the focus is modularity and simplification with special attention on production, assembly and mounting along with a strategic and methodical approach to enhance or create identified market selling points in the design proposal. The outcome is the vaulted fire ventilation skylight Contego – offering a modular and aesthetically clean design proposal for a next generation skylight solution that can be utilized both as fire ventilation skylight and fire ventilation light row.
Dette projekt vedrører udviklingen af et nyt ovenlysvindue med indbygget termisk brandventialtion udviklet i samarbejde med Domex Ovenlys A/S. Udviklingen tager udgangspunkt i problem områder defineret af firmaets ledelse,produktions personnel, montage personnel og områder identficeret at projektgruppen gennem analyse og observation. Gennem udviklingen har fokus været på produkt modularitet og simplifikation med særlig fokus på produktion, sammling og montage sammen med en strategisk og metodisk tilgang til at skabe eller forøge identificerede konkurrenceparametre i design forslaget. Resultatet er et hvælvet brandventilations ovenlys - der tilbyder muligheden for et modulært og æstetisk simpelt design forslag til et ovenlys der kan bruges både som brandventialtions ovenlys og lysbånd.
