Abstract
This study explores how and why yoga is (re)constructed and reinterpreted among consumers in the Western world, based on their personal stories and the meanings they attach to their practice. It includes people with different backgrounds who practice yoga at two locations in Denmark. The analysis examines their perceptions of yoga and how these insights contribute to existing knowledge about yoga practices, consumer culture (how consumption shapes habits), and identity.
