Abstract

This thesis presents a new architectural design for a well-established winery in Negrar, near Verona, Italy. The goal is to strengthen the company’s social role, integrate cultural functions (for example, spaces for events and learning), and attract tourists to this distinctive wine hub. Wine production remains the centerpiece, so production areas are kept clearly organized and uncompromised. At the same time, the project offers a continuous, carefully planned sequence of visitor experiences. The design is shaped by the contrast between industrial production and residential settings, and by carefully planned flows—the movement of people and materials—through the site. Technical knowledge has consistently informed the architectural decisions, resulting in a fully integrated design.
