Abstract

Interaktive, digitale udstillinger er blevet udbredte på danske museer og markedsføres som engagerende og mindeværdige oplevelser for hele familien. Mine observationer viser, at mange installationer ikke lever op til løfterne. De er ramt af tekniske fejl (løse forbindelser, opstarts- og stabilitetsproblemer, slid) og af mangler i brugervenlighed og design, hvilket giver unødige afbrydelser og forringer gæsternes oplevelse. I specialet kortlægger jeg, hvilke design-, brugervenligheds- og interaktionsdesignprincipper der overholdes, og hvilke der overtrædes, og forklarer, hvordan sådanne brud kan påvirke brugerne psykologisk. Afslutningsvis præsenterer jeg praktiske forslag til at anvende interaktionsdesignprincipper i museumsarbejdet for at skabe mere driftssikre og brugervenlige udstillinger.

Interactive digital exhibitions are now common in Danish museums and are promoted as engaging, memorable experiences for families. My observations show that many installations do not live up to these promises. They suffer from technical faults (loose connections, start-up and stability problems, wear and tear) and from shortcomings in usability and design, leading to unnecessary interruptions and poorer visitor experiences. This thesis identifies which design, usability, and interaction design principles are respected and which are violated, and explains how such violations can affect visitors psychologically. Finally, it offers practical suggestions for applying interaction design principles in museum settings to create more reliable and user-friendly exhibitions.
