Abstract
Dette speciale præsenterer hele designprocessen bag et forslag til et besøgscenter ved Skagen Odde, ofte omtalt som toppen af Danmark. Skagen Odde er en af landets mest værdifulde og unikke naturarvslokaliteter og tiltrækker hvert år millioner af besøgende, men mangler stadig faciliteter, der kan hjælpe gæsterne med bedre at forstå og opleve stedet. Formålet med besøgscenteret er at gøre det lettere og mere sammenhængende at besøge hele området ved at facilitere adgang på tværs af landskabet. Samtidig søger projektet at styrke beskyttelsen af den naturlige kyst- og klitnatur og at påvirke besøgendes forståelse og værdsættelse af området, så oplevelsen forbedres uden at belaste naturen.
This thesis presents the full design process for a proposed visitor centre at Skagen Odde, often referred to as the tip of Denmark. Skagen Odde is one of the country’s most precious and unique natural heritage sites and attracts millions of visitors each year, yet it still lacks facilities that help people better understand and experience the place. The visitor centre aims to make visiting the entire area easier and more coherent by improving access across the landscape. At the same time, the project seeks to strengthen the protection of the natural dune and coastal environment and to shape visitors’ understanding and appreciation, so the experience is enhanced without putting extra pressure on nature.
