Abstract
This master thesis will revolve around a single case study and seeks to explore and understand why Danish municipalities engage in an international context, using Aalborg Municipality as a case. The aim of the thesis is therefore to create an understanding of how the municipality is acting abroad and why, analyzing the rationales and reasons behind the decision to act abroad.
