Abstract
Dette speciale undersøger, hvordan man kan designe et nyt skolekompleks i Tórshavn med en kombineret bæredygtig og tektonisk tilgang. Skolen er en folkeskole for elever fra 0. til 9. klasse. Projektet fokuserer på at skabe et inspirerende læringsmiljø, der imødekommer elevernes fysiske og psykiske behov. Designet reagerer på sine omgivelser og på Tórshavns eksisterende arkitektur. Ved at forene bæredygtighed med en tektonisk tilgang (en tydelig brug og formgivning af konstruktion og materialer, altså hvordan bygningen sættes sammen) sigter forslaget mod at skabe et funktionelt og opløftende sted for læring.
This thesis explores how to design a new elementary school complex in Tórshavn using a combined sustainable and tectonic approach. The school serves pupils from 0th to 9th grade. The project focuses on creating an inspiring learning environment that meets students' physical and psychological needs. The design responds to its surroundings and to the existing architecture of Tórshavn.
