Abstract

This thesis from the 4th semester of the Master’s program in Civil Engineering in Architecture & Design at Aalborg University explores how the themes of dwelling and sustainability can be brought together. More specifically, it examines how the qualities of a detached single-family house can be combined with the qualities and sustainable benefits of living in a dense urban setting (where many people live close together) at the harbourfront in Aarhus. The report outlines the project process and the considerations behind choices made in this context.
