Abstract
This project explores how both perceived and actual privacy at pharmacy counters can be improved to enhance medication safety, customer experience, and the role of physical pharmacies. At the same time, the solution must allow staff to maintain a clear overview of the pharmacy space so that it is realistic to implement in practice. Using an iterative development process, where the problem and potential solutions were refined in parallel, the project drew on observations, interviews, concept tests, prototyping, and collaboration with industry experts. The result is Ugle: a modular, freestanding partition system that can be adapted to very different pharmacy layouts without compromising staff overview. Ugle combines sound-absorbing textile panels, transparent upper shielding, adjustable panel heights, and integrated display surfaces for information and branding. In this way, the solution aims to balance privacy, comfort, functionality, and the pharmacy’s visual identity. The concept was tested and evaluated in real pharmacy settings and was developed with future refinement and possible implementation in mind, through existing nationwide suppliers of pharmacy interiors.
Dette projekt undersøger, hvordan man kan skabe mere diskretion ved skranken på apoteker – både oplevet og faktisk – for at øge medicinsikkerhed, forbedre kundeoplevelsen og styrke de fysiske apotekers betydning. Samtidig er det afgørende, at personalet fortsat kan bevare overblik over lokalet, så løsningerne realistisk kan indføres i praksis. Gennem en løbende udviklingsproces, hvor problem og løsning blev udforsket side om side, har projektet anvendt observationer, interviews, konceptafprøvninger, prototyper og samarbejde med brancheeksperter. Resultatet er Ugle: et modulært, fritstående afskærmningssystem, der kan tilpasses meget forskellige apoteksindretninger, uden at personalets overblik går tabt. Ugle kombinerer lydabsorberende tekstilpaneler, gennemsigtig afskærmning øverst, justerbar panelhøjde og integrerede flader til visuel kommunikation. På den måde skabes en løsning, der balancerer diskretion, komfort, funktionalitet og apotekets visuelle identitet. Konceptet er testet og vurderet i den daglige apotekskontekst og er udviklet med henblik på senere videreudvikling og mulig implementering via eksisterende landsdækkende leverandører af apoteksinventar.
