Abstract
Dette projekt undersøger unge med ikke-vestlig baggrund i ghettoområdet Gellerupparken i Aarhus. Det ser på, hvordan de forstår og beskriver sig selv i relation til danskere og danskhed, altså hvad det vil sige at være dansk. Undersøgelsen bygger på interviews, som analyseres ved hjælp af anerkendte teorier for at give en mere nuanceret forståelse af målgruppens selvopfattelse i relation til danskhed.
This thesis examines young people with a non-Western background in the Gellerupparken ghetto area in Aarhus. It explores how they understand and describe themselves in relation to Danes and Danishness, meaning ideas about what it means to be Danish.
