Abstract
The Light Experience is a master’s thesis in architecture that develops a design proposal for a resort with guest houses at Lake Mývatn near Reykjahlíð in Northern Iceland. The core question asks how daylight and the northern lights can shape architectural atmosphere and support human comfort in a harsh climate through a holistic, sustainable, and tectonic approach.
