Abstract
As required by law in Denmark, eve- ry municipal home care must conduct thorough documentation upon every visit they perform for the elderly in their care. This report conducts a case study of the elder care instution Hjem- mepleje Øst, from Svendborg Kommu- ne, focusing on their use and under- standing of their platform Nexus for documentation. This study led to the identification of several problems, in- cluding a general lack of understan- ding concerning Nexus. For idenfica- tion, the study utilizes interviews with 5 employees and 1 manager, as well as the theories regarding TEKU and te- chnoligical frames. The main problem identified during the study, was the difference in knowledge between each employee in terms of the functionali- ty within Nexus. This report concludes on these problems, by suggesting a po- ssible new reform regarding their ap- proach to learning, concerning the fre- guent updates to their digital platform Nexus.
