Abstract
The digital presence of a person is a theoretical construct aimed to attend to the social and technological interactions of self-expressions. The analysis is built as a case study of the digital presence of the American innovator in the field of bionic prostheses Hugh Herr. The study is theoretically informed by Erving Goffman’s dramaturgical analysis and Don Ihde’s postphenomenological perspective on human-technology relations. The digital presence of a persons offers a new perspective on the concept of digital self.
