Abstract

The study aims to develop a strategy for the Radiation Therapy department at Herlev Hospital to support continuous improvement. It is a single-case study that examines the department and proposes improvements using Lean tools (methods for reducing waste and streamlining processes). The analysis finds that the department already has several improvement initiatives, yet there is still room to improve. It therefore recommends anchoring continuous improvement in one of the existing initiatives—SUMU-I—and making it employee-driven.
