Abstract
This project is a culmination of a one year long master thesis at the Architecture, Design & Media Technology (AD:MT) education at Aalborg University fall 2013 and spring 2014. The thesis consists of a theoretical thesis and a design proposal that deals with the same subject: An architectural treatment of Urban farming with emphasis on the notion of architectural space. In collaboration with the city of Aalborg, with a growing interest in the Urban Farming phenomenon, both from citizens and from the planners at the municipality, the project proposes a way of dealing with a specific branch of urban farming, revolving around the fjord in Aalborg. Through the theoretical thesis elaborations within the notion of architectural space created a framework in which the architectural treatment of Urban Farming can be utilized through careful spatial design.
