Abstract
Current thesis researches takes its’ stand in the high prevalence of diabetes in Mauritius. The many cultural aspects of diabetes prevention in Mauritius has been explored through a Techno-Anthropological approach, which included a thorough literature review alongside with empirical data generation through fielwork. Two NGO’s of Mauritius was taken into account in the matter of the prevention of diabetes. Moreover, it was analysed how the perspective of Health Literacy and eHealth Literacy can help in developing prevention programmes in the future.
