Abstract

Dette projekt beskriver udviklingen af et brugerdrevet "Intelligent Supermarket"-system. I modsætning til løsninger, der primært styres af supermarkedet, sætter vores system kunden i centrum. Det bruger Magnet Beyond-teknologi, et forskningsprojekt baseret på "Personal Network"-konceptet, hvor en persons egne enheder kan forbindes og samarbejde. Brugeren interagerer via en mobil enhed (Nokia N800/N810). Systemet er designet med fire hovedfunktioner: - Indkøbsliste: Brugeren opretter og vedligeholder sin liste i en mobilapp. Tanken er at dele listen i familien via Magnet Beyond, så alle kan se opdateringer. - Vejvisning i butikken: Systemet guider kunden til varerne. - Bestilling og egen afregning: Brugeren kan bestille varer og forberede sin regning ved at scanne varernes stregkoder. - Digital købillet: Ved afslutning af indkøbet modtager brugeren en virtuel billet til køen; personer med handicap eller gravide får prioritet. Målet var at analysere systemet, designe en ergonomisk (brugervenlig) grænseflade, gennemføre brugertests og udvikle en prototype til en fuld demonstration. Vi opnåede et brugbart system: indkøbslistefunktionen virker, vejvisningen fungerer, og køhåndteringen kører stabilt. Vi gennemførte brugertests og tests af det samlede system for at forbedre det. Begrænsninger: Systemet er lidt langsomt, og vi nåede ikke at implementere stregkodescanning eller brugen af Magnet Beyond til at dele indkøbslisten i familien.

This project describes the development of a user-centric "Intelligent Supermarket" system. Unlike store-centric solutions, our system puts the customer at the center. It uses Magnet Beyond technology, a research project based on the Personal Network concept, which connects a person’s own devices so they work together. The user interacts through a mobile device (Nokia N800 or N810). The system is designed with four main features: - Shopping list: The user creates and manages a list in a mobile app. The idea is to share this list within the family via Magnet Beyond so everyone sees updates. - In-store guidance: The system guides the customer to the products. - Ordering and self-billing: The user can order items and prepare a bill by scanning product barcodes. - Digital queue ticket: At checkout, the user receives a virtual ticket; people with disabilities or pregnant women are given priority. Our goals were to analyze the system, design an ergonomic (user-friendly) interface, run usability tests, and implement a prototype to demonstrate the complete solution. We achieved a usable system: the shopping list feature works, in-store guidance operates, and queue handling works reliably. We conducted usability and system tests to improve it. Limitations: The system is somewhat slow, and we did not have time to implement barcode scanning or the use of Magnet Beyond to share the shopping list within the family.
