Abstract
Specialet undersøger planlægningen af supercykelstier i Region Midtjylland og sammenligner den med tilgangen i Storkøbenhavn. Det adresserer, hvilket potentiale supercykelstier har uden for hovedstadsområdet, og hvilke planlægningsprincipper der bør anvendes i Midtjylland. Undersøgelsen bygger på et systematisk litteraturstudie, et dokumentstudie, ni semistrukturerede interviews med nationale, regionale og kommunale aktører samt fire besigtigelser. Analysen belyser planlægningsprocesser, den fysiske infrastruktur og samarbejdsformer, herunder aktørroller samt kriterier og faktorer, der påvirker rutevalg og gennemførelse. Specialet reflekterer også over forståelsen og terminologien omkring “supercykelstier”. På baggrund af analysen og den efterfølgende diskussion udarbejdes anbefalinger til, hvordan det interkommunale samarbejde kan fortsætte og styrke den fremtidige planlægning af supercykelstier i Midtjylland.
This thesis investigates the planning of cycle superhighways in Central Jutland and compares it to the approach used in Greater Copenhagen. It asks what potential cycle superhighways have outside the capital region and which planning principles should guide their development in Central Jutland. The study combines a systematic literature review, a document study, nine semi-structured interviews with national, regional and municipal stakeholders, and four site visits. The analysis examines planning processes, physical infrastructure and collaboration approaches, including actor roles as well as criteria and factors influencing route selection and implementation. The thesis also reflects on the understanding and terminology around “cycle superhighways.” Based on the analysis and subsequent discussion, it develops recommendations for how inter-municipal collaboration can continue and strengthen future planning of cycle superhighways in Central Jutland.
