Abstract

I den digitale tidsalder er digitale teknologier blevet afgørende for, om forretningsmodeller lykkes. IT fungerer ikke længere kun som støtte, men som en muliggjører og ofte en drivkraft for nye løsninger. Det ses tydeligt ved indførelse af produkt-service-systemer—tilbud, der kombinerer fysiske produkter med tilknyttede tjenester, muliggjort af digitale teknologier. Det er derfor vigtigt at forstå, hvilke faktorer der bidrager til en vellykket implementering. Tidligere forskning peger på, at tæt samspil mellem forretnings- og IT-strategier er en central succesfaktor. Dette studie undersøger, hvilke interessenter der er involveret, hvilke roller de spiller, hvilke udfordringer der opstår under implementeringen af produkt-service-systemer, og hvordan graden af strategisk alignment mellem forretning og IT påvirker gennemførelsen.

In today’s digital era, technology is central to the success of business models. IT is no longer just a support function; it enables and often drives new offerings. This is especially clear in product–service systems—solutions that combine physical products with related services made possible by digital technologies. Understanding what leads to successful implementation is therefore essential. Prior research highlights the alignment of business and IT strategies as a key driver of success. This study examines the stakeholders involved, their roles, the challenges that arise when implementing product–service systems, and how the degree of business–IT strategic alignment influences the implementation.
