Abstract
The scope of this project is to create an application for mobile phones, which enables to establish social mobile networks. The application called Spider provides users with an opportunity to exchange profiles and messages with each other and invite other users to their social networks. Spider partly relies on internet connectivity and thus provides similar options to social networks already operating in the Web. Additionally, it uses the Bluetooth technology and thus gives the opportunity to get to know people present in proximity of the user. In the report all actions performed by the application are described and supported with the example code. The development of the project is based on the Java 2 Micro Edition programming language, however numerous other resources are used, including Bluetooth, MySQL, Sun Application server, etc.
