Abstract
Idéen om et offshore elnet i Nordsøen er vurderet som en vigtig måde at sikre stabil energiforsyning i EU og at mindske behovet for energiimport. COBRAcable, en HVDC (højspændt jævnstrøm) forbindelse, der kobler Danmark og Nederlandene, forventes på sigt at blive en multi-terminal DC (MTDC) forbindelse. Da der i dag kun findes få MTDC-anlæg baseret på VSC (Voltage Source Converter) i drift på verdensplan, og ingen i Europa, er der behov for studier af MTDC-teknologi. MTDC-terminaler kan styres på flere måder, og det er afgørende at finde den mest driftssikre strategi med høj robusthed og god opererbarhed. Dette projekt undersøger, hvilken styringsstrategi der er mest pålidelig, gennem tests og observationer af systemets adfærd. Modeller og analyser er udviklet og udført i DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
The idea of an offshore electricity grid in the North Sea has been evaluated as a key way to improve the stability of energy supply in the EU and to reduce energy imported from outside the EU. The COBRAcable, a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) link that connects Denmark with the Netherlands, is expected to become a multi-terminal direct current (MTDC) connection in the future. Because there are currently only a few operating MTDC systems based on voltage source converters (VSC) worldwide, and none in Europe, further study is needed. MTDC terminals can be controlled using different strategies, so it is crucial to identify which approach is most reliable in terms of robustness and operability. This project focuses on finding that strategy by running tests and observing system behavior. The models and analyses were developed and performed in DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
