Dette speciale præsenterer design og empirisk evaluering af en systemarkitektur, der lagrer personbilers kørehistorik i et datavarehus—et centralt datalager udviklet til at analysere store datamængder. Sammen med information om vejnettet gør disse historikker det muligt at køre realtidsforespørgsler, som udløses af indkommende GPS-signaler for straks at kontrollere, om afsenderen er på vej mod en trafikforsinkelse. This thesis presents the design and empirical evaluation of a system architecture that stores the driving histories of personal cars in a data warehouse—a central data store built for analyzing large datasets. Combined with road network information, these histories enable real-time queries, which are triggered by incoming GPS signals to immediately check whether the sender is heading toward a traffic delay. Experiments demonstrate that the proposed architecture achieves reasonable performance for this task.
