Abstract
Dette speciale undersøge den rolle offentlig transport har i bæredygtig mobilitet i Aalborg og Aarhus kommune. Problem formulering var "What role does public transport have into creating better sustainable mobility?". Her arbejdede jeg med en kvantitativ tilgang siden jeg havde fem ekspert interviews. Igennem min analyse af disse ekspert interview fremhæver jeg nogle af de mest indflydelsesrige faktorer for den offentlige transport, nemlig det politiske og finansielle aspekt og dilemmaet med "pisk" og "gulerod". Jeg konkluderede følgende: Et skift til bæredygtig mobilitet er en gradvis proces. Det kræver politisk vilje til forandring, og det fremhæver også det dilemma, som både kommunerne og trafikselskaberne står over for: at tilbyde bæredygtige mobilitetsmuligheder, samtidig med at de er begrænset af de tilgængelige ressourcer.
This master thesis explores the role of public transport in creating better sustainable mobility within Aalborg and Aarhus municipalities. The problem formulation was ”What role does public transport have into creating better sustainable mobility? ” Here I worked with a quantitative approach since I had five expert interviews. Through the analysis of the expert interviews, I highlighted some of the most influential factors for the public transport, which were the political and financial aspect, and the dilemma of the "whip" and "carrot". I concluded the following: a shift towards sustainable mobility is a gradual process. It requires political willingness to change, it also highlights the dilemma that both the municipalities and traffic companies faces; providing sustainable mobility options while being limited by available resources.
