Specialet undersøger, hvordan markedsmæssigt pres, økonomisk konkurrence og miljøregulering driver innovation og former vedvarende konkurrenceevne i stålindustrien, med særligt fokus på den værdiskabende rustfri sektor. Det adresserer, hvilke faktorer på sektor- og virksomhedsniveau der fremmer innovation, hvordan et systemperspektiv på innovation forbinder eksterne vilkår med interne kompetencer, hvilken rolle regulering spiller for bæredygtig udvikling, samt hvilke strategier der kan forbedre præstationer. This thesis examines how market pressure, economic competition, and environmental regulation drive innovation and shape sustained competitiveness in the steel industry, with emphasis on the value-added stainless segment.
