Abstract
Long Term Evolution – Advanced (LTE-A) mobile communication systems are currently being standardized. Since performance re- quirements of the air interface are very high, LTE-A provides several new features com- pared to LTE. Given the high performance requirements of LTE-A, performances of precoded transmis- sion in TDD, and more specifically in open- loop transmission, are going to be evaluated. Different precoding solutions are considered in order to obtain relevant comparisons and to quantify the amount of gain provided by each precoding technique. Techniques as Blind Transmission, Precoded Pilots and Phase Based Precoding are going be evaluated. The influence of different parame- ters is also quantified to discuss their impact on performance of precoded transmissions in TDD.
