Abstract
Architecture of the digital age contains a variety of directions and focal areas. By analysing architecture in the digital age and leading the conventional theory of tectonics up to the architecture of today, the term Performative Tectonics emerges. Performative Tectonics is defined through parametric digital tools and possibilities of form modelling combined with the traditional values of tectonics brought up to a contemporary definition and use thereof. With the framework of Performative Tectonics a multimedia house for Aarhus waterfront is designed with the parameters of being A house of Democracy and A Centre of Knowledge.
