Abstract

This project designs a nature refuge along Hærvejen in North Jutland. It explores how architecture and landscape can work together, strengthening the experience of both as a dialogue. The design is guided by how visitors sense the surroundings, using that experience to shape space and expression. The refuge provides facilities for overnight stays and for teaching visitors about the local nature, distilled into three functions: Learn, Stay, and Sleep. The technical focus is to integrate the site-specific climate and make it a meaningful part of the architectural experience.
