Abstract
Managing how people and systems work together inside an organization is essential for achieving goals efficiently. This thesis first examines the main causes of familiar day-to-day management problems, such as excessive information traffic and a lack of high-quality, real-time information for decision support. It then focuses on one key cause: fragmented employee context information—relevant knowledge about employees’ current situation within the organization is scattered and hard to access. The thesis proposes a way to integrate this information and builds a prototype, which is tested in an experiment to evaluate the approach.
