Abstract
At få nye medarbejdere godt ombord (onboarding) er afgørende i store virksomheder. Efterhånden som organisationer vokser, bliver denne proces mere kompleks. En klar, struktureret onboarding øger trivsel, fastholdelse og produktivitet. Dette speciale fokuserer på Novo Nordisk og det digitale værktøj NN Planner, som bruges af mere end 5.000 medarbejdere på verdensplan. Med en brugercentreret tilgang undersøger projektet, hvad nye brugere og interessenter finder vanskeligt, når de skal tage NN Planner i brug. Clear, structured onboarding improves satisfaction, retention, and productivity. This thesis focuses on Novo Nordisk and the digital tool NN Planner, used by more than 5,000 employees worldwide. Using a user-centered approach, the project explores what new users and stakeholders find challenging when adopting NN Planner. Through an iterative Design Thinking process—generating ideas, gathering feedback, and refining them—and qualitative research, the thesis develops an online platform with training and resources, including step-by-step guides for new employees and their teams. Findings show that involving users is crucial and that onboarding is rarely a straight, standardized path. Users have varied needs, which makes one-size-fits-all processes less effective. The work proposes a scalable onboarding framework and recommends broader research with more diverse users and teams to strengthen future solutions. These insights support a user-centric approach to onboarding that can benefit organizations and digital product teams within and beyond Novo Nordisk.
