Abstract

Med udviklingen af internettet er det blevet muligt at inddrage borgere online. Dette projekt præsenterer et offentligt deltagelses-GIS (PPGIS) – et kortbaseret onlineværktøj, der understøtter borgerinput om en foreslået letbane langs Ring 3 vest for København. Systemet er bygget på open source-software og bruger Google Maps som baggrundskort, så det kan udvides og bruges gratis i andre projekter. Under udviklingen blev der identificeret centrale krav for at få løsningen til at lykkes: Den skal være brugervenlig, så mange kan deltage, samtidig med at den tilbyder avancerede funktioner til øvede brugere. Derudover skal den have stærk teknisk sikkerhed for at forhindre utilsigtet brug eller misbrug.

As internet technology has evolved, it has become possible to involve the public online. This project presents a public participation GIS (PPGIS) — an online, map-based tool that supports public input on a proposed light rail along Ring 3 west of Copenhagen. The system is built with open-source software and uses Google Maps as a basemap, making it expandable and free to use in other projects. During development, we identified key requirements for success: it must be easy to use so many people can take part, offer advanced features for experienced users, and include strong technical safeguards to prevent unintended use or misuse.
