Abstract
Det foreslåede byggeri organiseres omkring tre centrale rumlige koncepter: The Walk, The Blocks og The Bunkers.
This thesis presents the design process for a new Bunker Museum in the municipality of Frederikshavn. Through analyses of the local context, potential users, and case studies, it develops a design brief. The project then explores technical, functional, and aesthetic choices to create a museum that fits its surroundings, engages the senses, and turns history into architectural and spatial experiences. The proposed building is organized around three core spatial concepts: The Walk, The Blocks, and The Bunkers. Together, these parts offer layered ways to visit, integrate social and environmental sustainability strategies, and use a humanistic architectural approach to create a sensory building that connects to the planet’s past, present, and future.
