Abstract
Kraftig nedbør kan få kloakker til at løbe over, så regnvand og spildevand blandes. Sådanne overløb kan indeholde kemikalier og virus, som skader miljø, menneskers sundhed og vandkvaliteten. Dette speciale undersøger naturbaserede løsninger (NBS) som en miljøvenlig og omkostningseffektiv måde at håndtere fortyndet spildevand og rense det i Nørre Nissum i Lemvig Kommune. For at gennemføre en NBS er der udviklet en analytisk ramme, der kombinerer retningslinjer fra International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), en risikovurdering og et tilpasningsforløb (en plan, der kan justeres over tid og holder flere muligheder åbne). For at vælge de bedste tiltag anvendes en systematisk metode baseret på tilpasningsforløb, nemlig flerkriterieanalyse, hvor forskellige løsninger sammenlignes ud fra flere hensyn, så der er alternativer, hvis én løsning ikke fungerer. Specialet designer ikke kun en NBS, men giver også en formel til at dimensionere anlægget til tilbageholdelse af spildevand. Løsningen kan håndtere den kortsigtede risiko, men for en langsigtet løsning bør Lemvig Kommune anvende en anden tilgang.
Heavy rainfall can cause sewers to overflow, mixing rainwater and wastewater. These overflows may carry chemicals and viruses that harm the environment, human health, and water quality. This thesis explores nature-based solutions (NBS) as an environmentally friendly and cost-effective way to manage diluted wastewater and clean it in Nørre Nissum in Lemvig Municipality. To implement an NBS, an analytical framework was developed that combines guidelines from the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), a risk assessment, and an adaptation pathway (a plan that can be adjusted over time to keep options open). To choose the best measures, the study uses a systematic method built on adaptation pathways, namely multi-criteria analysis, comparing options against several factors so alternatives are available if one fails. The thesis not only designs an NBS but also provides a formula for sizing it for wastewater retention. The proposed solution addresses short-term risks; for a long-term solution, Lemvig Municipality should use a different approach.
