This master’s thesis presents an architectural proposal for a Museum of Censorship and Freedom of Speech. It responds to the complex nature of these concepts, which are increasingly prominent in public and political debate and in the media. The museum is intended to encourage visitors to reflect on their own views on censorship and free speech as social mechanisms, while learning about their significance and sociological impact over time.

Kandidatprojektet præsenterer et arkitektonisk bud på et Museum for Censur og Ytringsfrihed. Projektet forholder sig til den komplekse karakter af disse begreber, som fylder stadig mere i den offentlige og politiske debat og i medierne. Museet er tænkt som et sted, der får besøgende til at reflektere over deres egne holdninger til censur og ytringsfrihed som samfundsmekanismer og samtidig giver viden om deres betydning og sociologiske påvirkning over tid.
