Formålet med projektet er at skabe et imødekommende sted, hvor lokalsamfundet kan samles om forskellige aktiviteter. Projektområdet ligger i den lille by Balling, hvor sociale fællesskaber prioriteres højt. For at gå foran som en miljøfokuseret by vil Balling introducere et nyt bæredygtigt multihus (et flerfunktionelt fælleshus). Med udgangspunkt i cases og studier munder arbejdet ud i et hus, hvor arkitekturen understøtter bevægelse og uformelle møder og inviterer folk til at deltage i aktiviteter eller blot nyde omgivelserne.
