Abstract

Denne afhandling undersøger, hvordan multinationale virksomheder kan øge deres modstandsdygtighed over for forstyrrelser som pandemien og geopolitiske konflikter, der har afsløret, at globale værdikæder ofte er effektive, men sårbare. Med udgangspunkt i en kritisk realistisk tilgang gennemfører studiet en systematisk litteraturgennemgang af fragmenteret forskning for at skabe overblik, konceptualisere resiliens og samle centrale teorier og rammer, herunder blandt andet dynamiske kapabiliteter, supply chain risk management og global value chain-perspektiver. Gennemgangen identificerer 31 drivere for resiliens, hvoraf 20 vurderes at have tilstrækkelig evidens til praktisk implementering. Driverne organiseres på tværs af værdikædens funktioner og vægtes efter deres evidensgrundlag for at danne en liste over potentielle implementerbare strategier. Studiet anbefaler, at virksomheder indleder med en risikovurdering for at finde de mest sårbare led i værdikæden og målrette indsatserne herefter. This thesis examines how multinational enterprises can strengthen resilience to disruptions such as the pandemic and geopolitical tensions, which have exposed global value chains as efficient yet fragile. Using a critical realist approach, it conducts a systematic literature review of a fragmented body of research to provide an overview, conceptualize resilience, and synthesize key theories and frameworks, including dynamic capabilities, supply chain risk management, and global value chain perspectives.
