Abstract
Dette speciale undersøger fasestyrede antennearrayer (phased array-antenner) til den femte generation af mobilkommunikation (5G). Kort fortalt består sådanne antenner af mange små elementer, som kan styre signalretningen elektronisk for at forbedre forbindelsen. Arbejdet fokuserer på dækningseffektivitet – hvor godt forskellige antennetyper leverer stabil dækning – samt på forskellige former for signaltab i antennerne. Derudover behandles praktiske forhold ved at implementere disse antenner i mobile terminaler.
This thesis examines phased array antennas for the fifth generation of mobile communications (5G). In simple terms, these antennas use many small elements to steer the signal electronically and improve connectivity.
