Abstract
The report represents a thesis on marine litter in Greenland. The presence of marine litter was assessed through analysis and collection of marine litter on the seafloor, in the water surface and along the coast of/close to Nuuk, Greenland. Litterature, interviews and questionnaires contributed with information on the presence of marine litter in addition to information on the general waste management in Greenland. This information was applied in the second part of the thesis centered on which initiatives could be implemented in order to prevent future discharges and impacts of marine litter in Greenland.
