Abstract
This thesis examines how multiple stakeholders can be involved in agile software development. Guided by the research question of how to involve multiple stakeholders in agile development, we conducted three studies: an exploratory literature review (15 papers), an industry survey (50 responses), and a Scrum-based case study in the development of a patient app involving patients, physicians, pharmacists, and medical secretaries. The literature highlights the need for a supporting structure for stakeholder involvement, early and continuous engagement, and explicit handling of conflicts among stakeholders. In industry practice, meetings are the most commonly used involvement method, and conflicting requirements are the most frequent challenge. In the case study, we involved several Product Owners in Sprint Planning and Sprint Reviews and included stakeholders in Sprint Reviews; observed challenges included limited time for meetings, limited usability feedback, and tensions between sprint goals and priorities. Overall, the work shows that involving multiple stakeholders in agile methods is feasible but requires clear structures and deliberate management of practical and prioritization challenges.
Denne afhandling undersøger, hvordan flere interessenter kan involveres i agil softwareudvikling. Med udgangspunkt i forskningsspørgsmålet om, hvordan flere interessenter kan inddrages i agil udvikling, gennemførte vi tre studier: et eksplorativt litteraturstudie (15 artikler), en spørgeskemaundersøgelse i industrien (50 svar) og et casestudie af en Scrum-baseret proces i udviklingen af en app til patienter med deltagelse af patienter, læger, farmaceuter og lægesekretærer.
